GINA PREZIOSA

As a native New Yorker, growing up in Brooklyn, I always had a strong interest in photography and art. My major in college was Art and Advertising Design, and I was taught how creativity could be infused into many other different areas. I decided to work for one of the most exclusive floral decorating companies in NYC, working in several high-end hotels such as The Pierre and The Plaza Hotel. 

My curious nature of living in other places took me to San Francisco, where I landed a career in the beauty industry.  I became a cosmetic department manager in the iconic Emporium Capwell, and then worked for Germaine Monteil and La Prairie in the Pacific Northwest Territory in Sales.

When asked if I would move back to New York for a promising career move, I agreed to join Revlon who owned 7 high end beauty brands at the time.  I was hired to run the largest territory in the US accounting for 22% of the total company’s business.

I then became the Sales Manager for an Italian skincare line from Tuscany, Terme di Saturnia.  This position included the opportunity to gain international business experience, and the start of my career working with spas.

I moved to Florida and switched careers to work at the Boca Raton Resort & Club as a buyer and manager of resort stores. I eventually became the Director of Retail overseeing a multimillion-dollar operation, and achieving unprecedented profits. I also assisted in opening up a 48-treatment room spa.

After 15 years, I was recruited to join Sandals Resorts as the Director of Retail to oversee and purchase all product categories for 20 resorts in the Caribbean. During this time, I travelled to China for private label product development.

My goal at this time was to start my own consulting business to represent brands that I loved, and to buy & visually merchandise for various different clients. This business has continued to flourish alongside my current position.

For the last years, as Vice President of Sales for Shankara, an Ayurvedic line of spa products, I have been able to fuse all my past experiences. I truly enjoy working in the wellness field and generating sales through strong partnerships, dynamic products, and passion!

I have been a speaker on various subjects in the US, India, and Germany.  I love to volunteer and have been a Guardian ad Litem for many years.

My extensive, varied experience, along with a candid and enthusiastic approach to well-being, retail, spa and sustainability offers fresh ideas, strategies, and thought-provoking concepts to exceed expectations.
